We give you the freedom to choose
The conclusion is clear: no matter which Stratanium coating you choose, you get non-stick performance in a class of its own.
Cleaning is effortless.
The excellent release performance makes cooking without added fat possible.
You can use most types of kitchen utensils (metal utensils should not be used on the LEAP coating).
Each Stratanium coating also has its own distinct characteristics and unique qualities. That is why Stratanium is for those who love cooking and want to refine their techniques and elevate the final result on the plate.
It is the small details and unique properties that distinguish Stratanium, Stratanium LEAP and Stratanium+.
All Stratanium coatings are suitable for gas, induction, traditional and ceramic hobs. With or without added fat. And whether you are frying, boiling, simmering or flash-searing.
The question is: which Stratanium coating will become your favourite?
Why use PFAS in Stratanium and Stratanium+, when Stratanium LEAP is available?
Let us be clear: all SCANPAN non-stick coatings naturally comply with current environmental and health regulations.
However, PFAS are currently in the spotlight because fluorinated substances are very difficult to break down in nature and can be harmful to humans and animals.
When we use PFAS in Stratanium and Stratanium+, the PFAS are bound within the specially hardened coating, and there is no risk of PFAS being released into food or the surrounding environment during normal use.
The crystalline PFAS particles are an integral part of the ultra-thin layers that create the exceptional hardness and durability of the coating, and it has never before been possible to produce a non-stick coating with a guaranteed service life and satisfactory release performance without the use of PFAS.
This long service life is a key part of SCANPAN’s ongoing efforts to reduce the climate footprint of our frying pans. By producing (and guaranteeing) non-stick cookware with a minimum lifespan of five years, we contribute to an improved life cycle assessment (LCA), resulting in lower environmental impact and reduced resource consumption.
Despite extensive testing and analysis, our production cannot yet guarantee the same service life for Stratanium LEAP as for Stratanium and Stratanium+. However, the development of the new Stratanium LEAP demonstrates that we are continuously moving closer to the day when all our non-stick coatings are completely PFAS-free.
